CyberSecurity Tips For You:

Scammers are continuously using more intricate online offers, emails, or phone calls to persuade individuals to provide their personal information for fraudulent purposes. That’s why we’ve put together these tips to help you stay safe online and protect your personal and financial information.

  1. Use strong passwords: Your password is the first line of defense against hackers. Make sure it’s strong by using a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols. Don’t use obvious passwords such as “password” or “123456.”
  2. Enable two-factor authentication: Two-factor authentication provides an extra layer of security by requiring you to enter a code sent to your phone or email in addition to your password. Enable it whenever possible to prevent unauthorized access.
  3. Update your software: Make sure your operating system, web browser, and other software are up to date with the latest security patches. These updates often include fixes for vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers.
  4. Be wary of phishing emails: Phishing emails are designed to trick you into revealing sensitive information, such as your login credentials. Be suspicious of emails that ask you to click on a link or enter personal information.
  5. Use a secure network: When accessing financial information online, make sure you’re using a secure network. Avoid using public Wi-Fi, which is often unsecured and can leave your information vulnerable to hackers.
  6. Monitor your accounts: Keep a close eye on your financial accounts, and report any suspicious activity immediately. Regularly check your credit reports for any signs of identity theft.
  7. Backup your data: Regularly backup your data to protect against data loss in the event of a security breach or hardware failure.
  8. Use antivirus software: Antivirus software can help protect your computer from viruses and malware. Make sure it’s installed and up to date.

By following these tips, you can help protect your personal and financial information and stay safe online. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact our customer support team at CINCBCustomerService@CINCB.ky.
